A bungling burglar crashed through the ceiling of a Popeyes restaurant, with surveillance video capturing his sluggish smash and grab.

Video taken inside of the Jacksonville, Florida, business shows the man clumsily crawling around the floor before breaking into a safe and making off with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said as they released the video Wednesday.

The suspect apparently had a little more than three hours to pull off the Jan. 18 theft. The sheriff's department said in a Facebook post that the restaurant had failed to turn on its security system that night.

His entrance may not have been clean, but his exit sure was.

As of Thursday, a month after the heist, the burglary suspect remains at large, authorities said.
