Ronda Rousey works hard on her body, and she is damn proud of it. She wasn't always entirely confident in every inch of herself, sure. Lots of people feel that way growing up. But as an adult, she knows she is beautiful every day, regardless of where she lands on the scale.

So when she posted a photo on Instagram on Thursday of herself on "The Tonight Show," Rousey thought she was sharing that hard-learned message of body positivity with her fans. Only she wasn't. Unbeknownst to her at the time, the photo had been altered to make her arms look slightly smaller than they really are.

Upset at the photo and the message it sent to her fans, Rousey posted a follow-up image just hours later, clarifying that she loves every part of herself.

"I have to make an apology to everyone -- I was sent a picture to share on social for Fallon that was altered without me knowing to make my arms look smaller," she said. "I won't say by who -- I know it was done with severely misplaced positive intentions -- but this goes against everything I believe and I am extremely proud of every inch of my body. And I can assure you all it will never happen again."
