The Economic Case For Global LGBT Rights

A report from the Open For Business Coalition shows a close correlation between economic development and LGBT inclusion.

Businesses are coming together to publicly support LGBT rights worldwide. According to the Open For Business Coalition -- which includes companies like Google, AT&T, IBM and more -- companies perform better in LGBT-inclusive societies. While same-sex relationships are still criminalized in at least 70 countries, Jon Miller, a partner at Brunswick, said that anti-LGBT laws run "counter to the interests of business" and economic development.
