Donald Trump won Arkansas' Republican presidential primary Tuesday.

Very little polling was done in the state ahead of the primary, although a survey from early February had Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with a very slight lead over Trump and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). All three men campaigned in the state in the days leading up to the election. 40 delegates were at stake.

Many of the state's top Republicans, including the governor and lieutenant governor, endorsed Rubio. Cruz, meanwhile, had the support of the secretary of state and at least 18 state lawmakers.

Mitt Romney won the Arkansas GOP primary in 2012, and Mike Huckabee easily won it in 2008. Huckabee, the former governor of the state, dropped his presidential bid this cycle in early February. He has not yet endorsed anyone.
