Mischa Barton Joins 'Dancing With The Stars'

Mmm, whatcha say? Barton's joining Season 22?

A decade after Mischa Barton's most famous character, Marissa Cooper, died on "The O.C.," Coop is coming back to life to dance.

Barton will compete in the 22nd season of "Dancing With the Stars." Jodie Sweetin from "Fuller House" is also set to compete. (Actually, Barton knows a thing or two about over-filling houses herself: One time on "The O.C.," her character snuck a crush into an unfinished house, which led to a series of events that burned the whole place down. Perhaps by the end of the "DWTS" season, we'll know who can achieve the "Fullest House.")

The actress has been consistently working on independent movies over the last 10 years. It is unclear if any of those movies involved dance scenes that could prepare Barton for the upcoming competition. However, there is a scene of Barton's character in "The O.C." breaking into tears while on the dance floor. Perhaps this will be an emotional season.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this story stated the unfinished house was owned by Marissa Cooper's mom. Her neighbor, Kirsten Cohen, was actually building the house.
