Britain's Prince George and Princess Charlotte played in the snow for the first time during a recent family skiing holiday in the French Alps. And from the adorable photographs released by the British royal family on Monday, they loved the new experience.
Two of the staged pictures showed the youngsters smiling while posing with their parents, William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Other images featured William holding a happy Charlotte, and Catherine and William goofing around in the snow.
The images were taken by Press Association photographer John Stillwell during the family's short vacation in the French Alps last week.
"This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow," said a Kensington Palace spokesman.
"It was very special and fun short holiday for the family," the palace spokesman added, "and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well. The Duke and Duchess hope people enjoy the photos."
According to the Evening Standard, the couple was keen for their children to learn how to ski. George is now 2 and a half, while Charlotte turns 1 in May.
