'Drag Race' Favorite Latrice Royale Drops A Sultry New Music Video

"My goal is to be authentic to myself, my voice, and my experience.”

Buckle up! Latrice Royale just released her debut album.

"Here's To Life" features the "RuPaul's Drag Race" star sharing "stories of growing up gay in the gang-infested streets of Compton, California," as well as "reflecting on time spent behind bars and her transformation into the grand dame drag fans know and love today," a press release sent to The Huffington Post notes.

Though Royale reveals the album "runs the gamut from the whore house to the church house, so everybody should be able to find something they enjoy,” much of "Here's To Life" was inspired by some jazz's greatest singers, including Ella Fitzgerald, Della Reese, Shirley Horn and Shirley Bassey.

Still, Royale explains, “I’m not trying to sing like a woman... My goal is to be authentic to myself, my voice, and my experience.”
