Emerald roasted cashews and Roland Foods pepper strips have both issued voluntary recalls due to potential glass contamination of their products. The two recalls, issued on Friday, are unrelated.
Emerald 100 Calorie Pack Roasted & Salted Cashew Halves & Pieces
The recalled Emerald 100 Calorie Pack Roasted & Salted Cashew Halves & Pieces were distributed nationwide. Four specific production codes have been recalled for the possible presence of glass fragments. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has published the codes affected by the recall:
No injuries associated with the product have been reported at this time, but the FDA advises consumers who may have purchased the products to contact Consumer Affairs online for a full refund (http://www.emeraldnuts.com/contact-emerald/) or by phone by calling 503-364-0399 between 8am and 5pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
Roland Fire Roasted Red Pepper Strips
Roland Foods, LLC voluntary recalled its Fire Roasted Pepper Strips because of the possible contamination of glass as well. The items were distributed nationwide and in Canada to several kinds of supermarket chains and distributers.
The product recalled contains all of the details below. No other sizes or products of Roland Fire Roasted Red Pepper Strips are affected by the recall, according to the FDA:
