Russ Burris had been awake for at least 36 hours when he got behind the wheel of his car in 1990 and ended up in a crash that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Now, Burris is speaking out to raise awareness about the risks of drowsy driving -- an act that may result in an estimated 6,000 fatal crashes each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
