When you gotta dance, you gotta dance.

Homey, an English Angora rabbit who lives with a human couple in Illinois, is quickly amassing fans on social media thanks to his love of dance battles.

“Homey is the smartest rabbit I have ever seen,” one of his owners, Jane, told The Huffington Post in an email. And Jane knows rabbits -- she’s kept the adorable animals as pets for more than 10 years.

Homey's back from his 3-week-long vacation. Mommy miss you so much <3 Many thanks to Maggie for taking great care of Homey.

Jane said she used treats to train Homey to kiss, turn around and shake hands, but she didn’t expect him to be such an avid dancer.

“I jumped with him when I saw him binkying,” she said. (“Binkying” is when a rabbit jumps and turns in the air in a joyful way.) “It turned out to be a dancing battle. Homey watched me jump, mimicked my moves and added his freestyle. He only does the dance battle when he is happy, energetic and feels safe about the environment.”

But as adorable as Homey is, Jane has a word of warning to anyone inspired to adopt an English Angora rabbit: The breed’s extremely fluffy fur needs a takes a lot of patience and care to deal with -- she has to groom Homey every day to keep his coat in good condition.
