Dallas Cowboys' Charlotte Jones Anderson Talks Breaking Boundaries In The NFL

She discussed working in the male-dominated sports world and how she balances her career with parenting.

Once dubbed the "most powerful woman in the NFL," Charlotte Jones Anderson is familiar with being the only female face in a room full of men. While chipping away at the glass ceiling as executive vice president and chief brand officer of the Dallas Cowboys, Anderson has learned a thing or two about the business of sports.

In a new video for HuffPost’s parent-child interview series Talk To Me, she sat down with her daughter Haley to discuss her career and said she hopes to lead the way for other talented women to follow in her footsteps.

"It's an incredible honor to have an opportunity to break a boundary," she said, Charlotte said. "But I really don't think it's about being first. I think it's about not being the last."

Her high-powered career isn't the only thing to which she's dedicated. When she isn't spearheading the NFL Foundation's efforts in youth football or organizing the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Anderson handles the responsibilities of being a mother of three.

"The juggle is certainly a great challenge," she said. "Sometimes you can't have it all at the same time, but you can have it all. You just have to figure out how to make the most of each moment and be as impactful as you can in the moment."

She commended her kids for being "very tolerant of burnt toast in the mornings" and just baring with her though her chaotic schedule.

"You've been very patient and you have never complained along the way. And I think it's always great when you can come home and you all are giving me ideas as opposed to complaining that I'm not there," she said. "And I would say the greatest part of my job is getting to share it with you."
