Stars Make A Strong Case For Wearing Dark Lipstick In Spring

'90s dark lips FTW.

It's official: dark lipstick is the biggest trend for spring.

In an unexpected twist, celebrities are holding on strong to deep and richly pigmented lip colors in burgundy, mahogany and merlot that we're used to seeing in the fall. It was a huge trend among fashion's elite at the 2016 Met Gala, further proving that this shift in beauty isn't just a fad.

Taylor Swift embraced dark lips as her personal style has transitioned from sweet and retro to edgy and grunge. Miranda Kerr ditched her signature cherry red lipstick for a glossy bordeaux shade. Meanwhile, Poppy Delevingne's wine-stained lips reminded us of the moody pouts in the cult film "The Craft."
