Michelle Branch may have the song of the 2016 election on her hands with “Goodbye, Ted Cruz.”
The singer-songwriter gave the presidential campaign of Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-Texas) a scathing send-off on Monday night with a re-working of her 2001 hit "Goodbye to You."
"I want to punch you and ignore you at the same time," she sang on "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee."
Other memorable lyrics included: "There's nothing behind your eyes and you make us cry, counting the ways you would lie," and "We'll miss your lizard face on the news."
