Teen's Surprise For Hospitalized Grandpa Will Bring You To Tears

Grab the tissues.

Texas high school senior Felipe Leon was ready to leave for the biggest night of the year -- prom. His tux was on, his boutonniere was ready and his bow tie was just right. But there was one thing missing -- his beloved grandpa sending him off.

"He's like my second father," Leon told The Huffington Post. Sadly, just before prom, grandpa Mike had to be hospitalized for a toe amputation and it was taking him some time to recover. Therefore, there was only one way to make sure grandpa was part of the big night.

With his date, girlfriend Breanna, by his side, Leon, 18, showed up at his grandfather's hospital to make sure he wouldn't miss out on the send off.

"He was surprised. It shocked me how much it meant to him," Leon said. "He cried. I cried."

Grandpa Mike had always been there at Leon's milestone moments, from homecoming to formals, so it was only right that he was there for prom night.

Grandpa's reaction as he tightly hugged Leon brought the room to tears and has gone viral after Felipe's sister, Erika, posted the entire video on Twitter. It's been retweeted almost 5,000 times.

We hope grandpa gets better soon.
