"I Am Cait" will no longer air in Africa after an influx of complaints from Nigerian viewers.

Caitlyn Jenner's E! reality series was pulled from MultiChoice Africa's lineup out of "respect" for customers, the company announced in a statement last week, the BBC reported. The move came after a series of complaints from viewers and a request from Nigerian authorities.

"MultiChoice recognises the importance of respecting the views of its customers and all regulatory environments within which its service operates," read a statement from the network, according to Gay Star News.

MultiChoice removed "I Am Cait" from E! Entertainment on its DStv service, according to Channel 24, effectively banning the show in all of Africa because DStv is the only E! feed.

"E! stands by the diverse range of content it produces and broadcasts around the world," NBC said in a statement to Channel 24. "As an international channel, we recognise that regulatory environments vary across the world and we always seek to comply with regulations in the countries where we broadcast. As this matter relates directly to DStv and the Nigerian regulatory authorities, this issue is for their comment."

E! was not immediately available for further comment.
