The German grocery chain Netto Marken-Discount has tapped into the lingua franca of the Internet -- cat videos -- to grab viewers all over the world.
In its viral ad posted June 8, cats shop at a grocery store while spoofing some of the Web's more popular kitty memes, such as "No No No Cat" and cats startled by cucumbers.

Cat video aficionados will no doubt recognize others, but will all this international recognition actually increase the supermarket's sales?
It can only hope.
