While promoting "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" in March during a New York Times panel, Tina Fey made a joke about her sex scene in the movie. "The only way I would ever agree to do any kind of scene, romantic scene like that, sex scene, is if it’s a comedic scene," Fey laughed. "Because I’m just not going to do that for real."

The crowd laughed as Fey continued, saying that there was "not enough money in the world" to do a straightforward sex scene. "I never have and I never will," Fey said.

"Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" is based off New York Times reporter Kim Barker's memoir, The Taliban Shuffle, about the journalist's time reporting in Afghanistan. In the adaptation, Fey plays a version of the Afghanistan war correspondent, with her name is slightly altered to Kim Baker.

Fey's ethos about handling sex-related scenes appears to extend to a deleted clip from "Foxtrot," which Paramount has provided exclusively to The Huffington Post.

In the video, actress Margot Robbie's character (a fellow war correspondent) advises Fey's Baker on her sex life while both walk through a grim prison riddled with dead bodies and injured people. The characters are so hardened to the war around them at this point in the movie that Baker doesn't stop smiling or laughing, even when walking over a presumably dead body being dragged across the floor.

Watch the clip above, which can also be found on the digital release of "Foxtrot," available Tuesday.
