WASHINGTON -- An attorney for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee tweeted an image Tuesday accusing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of murder.

Donald Trump lawyer Michael D. Cohen tweeted the image of a joyful Clinton saying, "I presided over $6 billion lost at the State Department, sold uranium to the Russians through my faux charity, illegally deleted public records, and murdered an ambassador. Elect me!"

"This picture says it all!" Cohen said in the tweet.

On Tuesday, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives investigating the deadly 2012 attack on an American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, released a report that faulted the State Department for not doing more to protect U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans who died in the attack. But they weren't investigating whether Clinton actually murdered Stevens herself.

Cohen has been a lawyer for the Trump Organization since 2006.

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
