Maples sold the 7.45 carat Harry Winston diamond ring for $110,000 to a collector after the pair's 1999 divorce. On Wednesday, it was sold at an auction at the Lotte New York Palace on Madison Avenue to an anonymous collector who cast bids over the phone, according to the New York Daily News.

“It’s been a crazy six months for me,” Maples told Us Weekly in March in regards to her ex-husband's presidential campaign. “I’ve had people constantly coming to me wanting my opinion about the presidential race, and I’ve maintained a lot of privacy."

Trump was first married to Ivana Trump from 1977-1991. He married his third wife, Melania Trump, in 2005, after proposing to her with a 12-carat Harry Winston ring worth between $1 million and $2 million.

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
