Baby Moana Is The Cutest Little Disney Princess Ever

The newest princess gets her own #tbt.

“Moana” fans, prepare for an overload of cuteness.

Disney just dropped the second official teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated film ― and it’s basically the Polynesian princess’ very own version of a Throwback Thursday.

The new trailer, which is intended for the Japanese market, throws viewers way back into Moana’s past, showing the princess as a toddler clumsily playing along a lush, palm-tree-lined beach with her friend, a personified version of the sparkling ocean.

This new teaser gives us a glimpse into Moana’s world in ancient Oceania ― and every dreamy detail looks so inviting.

As seen in the trailer below, Moana walks through a parting, sentient ocean full of vibrant marine life ― and it’s crystal clear that she and the sea have a very deep connection.

Filmmakers faced backlash after releasing the film’s first U.S. trailer last month, with some critics calling the film’s depiction of Maui (voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) disrespectful and perpetuating unfair stereotypes that people of Polynesian descent are obese.

But unlike the previous trailer, which hinges on action and comedy, this international version homes in on a sweet, nostalgic moment for Moana (voiced by 14-year-old Hawaiian actress Auliʻi Cravalho) in an impossibly perfect backdrop.

And, most importantly, baby Moana will totally win you over.

Disney’s “Moana” will be released in the U.S. on Nov. 23 and in Japan in March 2017.
