Patrick Stewart Would Give It All Up Just To Have This Hardware Store

"There is nothing more."

Sir Patrick Stewart knows a good thing when he sees it, and when he sees hardware stores, he apparently sees good things.

In his latest soliloquy, posted to Twitter, the actor bestows his love for the humble hardware store window, with its hanging hammers, DeWalt drill bits and oscillating fans.

“You know, we all have desires in life, we all have aspirations and hopes,” he says, basking in the glow of the window at Webster’s hardware store in London, soaking up its life-affirming energy. “But when I stand in front of a hardware store like this, this is all I want. There is no more. Fame, celebrity, Academy awards. There’s nothing more.”

It’s not just about the hammers ― he’ll take an entire hardware store.

“If I could buy this store, and just have it in my backyard forever, I would be so happy,” he adds.

You do you, Patrick.
