On July 11, former NFL player Marcus Vick, the younger brother of Michael Vick, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Now, TMZ has published video of the April incident.

The video, which was taken by the body camera of one of the police officers involved and released Tuesday, shows Marcus initially talking with Newport News, Virginia, police officers who reportedly approached him over a warrant for his arrest in Montgomery County. Marcus spoke with the police officers for almost 10 minutes before he decided to make a run for it, according to TMZ.

Marcus broke past one of the officers and ran out of the Onelife Fitness gym, where the incident began, and proceeded to run down the street. For a moment it looked like Marcus, who ran a 4.28 40-yard dash while at Virginia Tech, was going to get away. However, the former NFLer gave up his attempt, sat down on the sidewalk and waited for police to catch up. Vick was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice, but prosecution decided to not pursue those charges.

Marcus was held at gunpoint by one of the officers as two more moved in to handcuff him. At the conclusion of the video one of the police officers can be heard saying, “If he ran, I knew we weren’t gonna catch him.”
