Catch A Peek At This Acclaimed Queer Short Film From Taiwan

In "100 Apples," a teenage boy learns he has to face his true self.

It could be argued that no one feels the weight of cultural homophobia more than young people who are still coming to terms with their sexuality.

That’s part of the struggle that Yi-Chieh, the teenage boy at the center of the Taiwanese short film, “100 Apples,” is experiencing. Over the course of the film, the character soon learns that the path to happiness requires facing his true self.

The film was an official entry at the 2014 Taiwan Queer Film Festival, the 2014 Beijing Queer Film Festival and the 24th Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.
