Khloe Kardashian might have to get her “Never go against the family!” motto tattooed on her forehead in order to get the message across to her siblings.
On Sunday night’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” we finally learned how Kanye West felt about Kylie Jenner “going against the family” and signing a deal with his Adidas rival, Puma.
“Kanye had Kylie walk in his first two Yeezy shows. He really believed in her as a part of his brand,” said Kim Kardashian. “That was, like, a conflict of interest.”
Yes, this may seem ridiculous that a couple of multi-millionaires are fighting over sneakers, but trust us when we say no one is more floored than Kris Jenner, who responded to Kim’s inquisition with her usual retort when anyone challenges her “momager” reasoning: “It’s about a business decision!”
Kanye didn’t quite see it that way. He considered Kylie’s deal with Puma akin to him making a reality show with Jay Z and Beyoncé and having it air it on Sundays at the same time as “KUTWK.”
“It’s like if I made a show Sunday night, and didn’t tell any of you all about it, but I did a couple shows with y’all, just two shows with y’all first,” said Kanye. “So people saw me and were all, ‘Ah, he’s cool on camera.’ And somebody offered me a deal, and I, like, did it and didn’t tell none of y’all, and brought all my, like, whatever, cool friends. Now it’s like Jay Z, Beyoncé was all on the show.”
No, Kanye, it’s not the same, because while Adidas is still in business despite Kylie’s betrayal, a competing reality show featuring Jay Z and Beyoncé would completely shut down the E! network — perhaps even all of television, if it were to air on Tidal.
Khloe Kardashian reiterated her now-famous response to finding out that her brother Rob started dating the former family rival, Blac Chyna.
“I don’t agree with going against the family,” Khloe said, siding with Kim and Kanye. “Mom and/or Kylie should have presented it to Kanye first.”
Back in February, Kanye let everyone know that this Puma deal was never going to happen on his Twitter account.
But then again, this is the same Twitter account that claimed Kanye was never going to release “Life of Pablo” on Apple Music, which promptly began streaming the album days later, proving to everyone that Kanye’s twitter is perhaps a less reliable source than even Taylor Swift’s publicist.
