This Might Be NYC's Biggest Cat, And He's Seriously Adorable

More to love.

Samson is one big cat.

The Maine Coon feline is about 4 feet long ― or 48 inches ― and weighs a whopping 28 pounds. But don’t let his size fool you. He is a gentle giant.

“He gets a lot of attention from strangers,” Jonathan Zurbel, the 4-year-old cat’s owner, told the New York Post’s Jenn Hoffman. “He draws crowds of photographers. People’s reactions are often, ‘Holy s - - t! Is that a cat? That’s a lion! Is it a bobcat?’”

Zurbel told Hoffman that Samson eats around six cans of wet food every day and goes through four pounds of litter each week.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest domestic cat as of October 2015 measured in at 46 inches long and was living in the United Kingdom. Samson might give that kitty a run for its money.
