Michelle Jenneke Brought Her Pre-Race Routine To The Olympics

Remember her dance?

Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke gained internet fame with her pre-race dance four years ago at a meet in Spain. On Tuesday she brought her warmup to the world’s biggest track and field stage.

Jenneke, lining up for a 100-meter hurdle heat at the Rio Olympics, did some of the familiar moves that led to TV appearances, a spot in Sports Illustrated’s 2013 Swimsuit Issue and a massive following on social media.

But her fans likely aren’t too happy right now because she won’t be dancing or running anymore on the track in Rio. Jenneke appeared sluggish while finishing sixth in her heat with a time of 13.26 seconds. That’s a bit slower than her season best of 12.93, and she failed to advance.

See you in four years, Michelle?
