Louisiana Kid Shares Sweet Moment With Police In Midst Of Devastation

In the midst of the devastating floods in Louisiana, a sweet viral moment is offering a beacon of hope.

On Tuesday, the Baton Rouge Police Department shared photos of a boy named Kenny horsing around with an officer after his home was flooded.

”This cute little fella was so happy that our Underwater Investigative Unit was able to save his wrestling belt from his flooded house he began to show Cpl. Doug Chutz the moves that earned him that belt,” the caption states, adding, “It wasn’t long before Cpl. Chutz had to tap out!”

The post received over 21,000 likes and has beens shared more than 8,000 times. Kenny’s mom Shanika Lilly Robertson commented on the post, saying that she’s proud of her son’s positive attitude and grateful for the officers’ service to her family.

“We just have to pray keep our heads up and rebuild,” she wrote. Other commenters offered to help the family by sending clothes, food and even wrestling figures for Kenny.
