Game of Thrones” made history at the Emmy Awards after it nabbed three wins at the ceremony on Sunday night.

The HBO show, which led with 23 nominations, also won an additional nine awards at the Creative Arts Emmys held last week, bringing its total haul to 12 this year.

All those golden statues add up to an astounding 38 Emmys over the show’s lifetime, placing “GoT” at the very top of the most Emmys ever won for a prime-time TV show ― besting the previous record of 37 set by “Frasier.”

As EW points out, “GoT” has only been around for six seasons, while “Frasier” was on for 11, so there’s a good chance the show will beat its own record in the future.
