Not Even Bill O'Reilly Believes Mike Pence's Nonsense About Women Voters

“You’re going to lose the election if you can’t convince more American women to vote for you.”

Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News show Wednesday night ― and seemed oblivious to the trouble his campaign is having appealing to female voters.

On the same night that more women came forward alleging that Donald Trump had groped them, O’Reilly asked the Indiana governor if the GOP campaign had a strategy to get more women to vote for the Republican ticket.

“You’re going to lose the election if you can’t convince more American women to vote for you,” O’Reilly said.

“Well, I think the strategy is just the message, Bill,” Pence said in response, before insisting that Trump’s campaign is resonating with many men and women.

But O’Reilly interrupted as Pence moved on to discussing his ticket’s stance on immigration to point out that they’ve had the same, consistent message since July, but they’re “still way behind in the polls with women.”

“The ‘Access Hollywood’ thing didn’t help you,” O’Reilly said, in reference to a 2005 tape that emerged this month of Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women. “So in the last four weeks of the campaign, are you going to make a special effort to get more women on board? It seems like you’re not.”

Pence replied that he “truly believes Trump’s message is more than a slogan.”

The vice presidential candidate responded in concert with his running mate, who was interviewed by O’Reilly on Tuesday. O’Reilly asked Trump if the campaign had a strategy to court female voters.

“I think we’re going to win the election, Bill,” the brash businessman said after dismissing his offensive comments on “Access Hollywood” as “locker room talk.”
