SNL Rips On Bad Women's Clothing Ads In The Most Hilarious Way

"No matter what size you are, you'll still feel CHONK."

As well-intentioned as some size-inclusive fashion campaigns, magazines and retail brands may be, their attempts at body positivity sometimes miss the mark.

Real inclusion ― like, say, featuring a diverse group of women in an ad or editorial without feeling the need to talk about it ― is often neglected in favor of ads much like the one above: a perfect spoof campaign from “Saturday Night Live” for a phony, size-inclusive store called “Chonk.”

It begins so much like many other cheesy attempts at empowerment, with a voiceover declaring, “You’re a woman. And you deserve clothes that fit and flatter.” However, it quickly takes a turn.

The store’s name and the way the voiceover artist aggressively, gutturally shouts it are on-point enough. But Sasheer Zamata’s reaction to hearing that Chonk is “the only store that accepts your unique body,” or Aidy Bryant mouthing “Fuck off” into the camera, are even more so.

Meanwhile, at Chonk’s store for men, aptly named “Normal Clothes,” Pete Davidson and Bobby Moynihan each find the flannel shirt of their dreams and size with ease.

Watch the all-too-familiar hilarity ensue above.
