From rose gold tresses to hidden rainbow hair to denim hair, we thought we’d seen it all with hairstyle trends. However, this Super Mario hairstyle, originally reported by Harper’s Bazaar, definitely takes it to a whole new level. And we are loving it.
The unique hair dye design comes from a hairstylist group in Spain called Xpresion Creativos, according to Harper’s Bazaar’s report.
At first glance, it just looks like an abstract, pixelated dye job in a very odd spot in the middle of the hair...
...But when the hair is brushed out flat, Super Mario appears! Pretty epic, right?
According to Xpresion Creativo’s Instagram caption, it “doesn’t really matter where you open up the hair there’s a Super Mario.” We should note that this dye art appears to have been initially created on a hair extension which was later attached to the model’s hair. Apparently this is a major “step forward in hair color” and we’re definitely digging whatever direction this is heading.
