Hillary Clinton Dances On 'El Gordo Y La Flaca' Ahead Of Birthday

She became the first presidential candidate to appear on the long-running show.

Hillary Clinton made history Tuesday when she became the first presidential candidate to appear on Univision’s long-running talk show “ El Gordo y La Flaca.”

The democratic nominee’s appearance on the Spanish-language show came two weeks ahead of the presidential election, and just one day before her birthday (Oct. 26). As such, the show’s hosts, Lili Estefan and Raúl De Molina, threw Clinton a party, gifting her tequila, a patriotic birthday cake and a surprise serenade from Dominican singer Prince Royce.

And that’s not all that went down. Clinton also practiced her Spanish, shared her love of “real Mexican food” and danced a little salsa during the segment.

People on Twitter had mixed reactions to the whole thing.

With the presidential election just around the corner, Clinton also made an appeal to voters, discussing immigration reform and equal pay for women, among other topics.

She ended the interview by thanking her Latino supporters, and reminded viewers that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are performing a free concert Saturday, in support of her campaign.
