Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump welcomed word Friday that the FBI is taking another look into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server when she served as secretary of state.

When he took the stage at a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, Trump told the crowd that he had a very critical breaking news announcement: The FBI had uncovered new emails.

“They are reopening the case into her criminal and illegal conduct that threatens the security of the United States of America,” Trump said. “Hillary Clinton’s corruption is on a scale we have never seen before.”

Just minutes earlier, FBI Director James Comey had sent a letter to congressional leaders saying that “the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation” of Clinton’s email use and would review them. Comey had announced in July that the agency did not recommend criminal charges in the case.

Clinton’s email use has been a major Trump talking point since he announced his candidacy last year, and he has blasted the FBI for not recommending prosecution of his Democratic opponent.

“I have great respect for the fact that the FBI and the Department of Justice are now willing to have the courage to right the horrible mistake that they made,” Trump continued. “This was a grave miscarriage of justice that the American people fully understood. It is everybody’s hope that it is about to be corrected.”

Clinton has apologized repeatedly for using the private server and emphasized that the FBI’s previous review said she didn’t break the law. Friday’s news threatens to shake up a presidential race that Clinton currently appears likely to win by a wide margin, according to most polls.

It’s not clear where the FBI is going with its investigation or whether it will make another announcement before Election Day in less than two weeks.

Comey wrote that “the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, and I cannot predict how long it will take us to complete the additional work.”

Trump was so excited by the news that he joked the rest of his stump speech wouldn’t be as fun.

“So that’s a big announcement that I heard 10 minutes ago,” he said. “With that said, the rest of the speech is going to be so boring.”

The crowd cheered and the speech went on.
