Shannen Doherty continues to share her emotional journey with cancer on social media.
On Monday, the former “Beverly Hills: 90210” star posted a photo from her first day of radiation treatment on Instagram, writing, “Radiation is frightening to me. Something about not being able to see the laser, see the treatment and having this machine moving around you just scares me.”
She added, “I’m sure I’ll get used to it but right now.... I hate it.”
The actress, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2015, has been very open about her battle, often documenting her journey with photos on Instagram.
This past summer, Doherty opened up about her diagnosis in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“The unknown is always the scariest part,” she said. “Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work? You know, am I going to have to go through this again, or am I going to get secondary cancer? Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know, living without a breast is manageable. It’s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love.”
