With Kanye West temporarily sidelined, it’s now Justin Bieber’s turn to confuse his audience by ranting about life, love and Instagram selfies we didn’t ask for.

Wearing a “Life of Pablo” sweatshirt, Bieber addressed his break from social media on Tuesday night during the final stop on the European leg of his Purpose world tour. (Yes, we’ve been living in a world without Bieber’s Instagram since August and somehow still have the strength to get up each day.)

“I don’t want to get my Instagram back,” he told the crowd after asking if they missed him. “Instagram is for the devil. I think hell is Instagram. I’m like 90 percent sure. We get sent to hell and we get locked in the Instagram server. I’m stuck in the DMs and trying to find my way out.”

Earlier this month, Bieber’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez made a similar plea against social media during her speech at the American Music Awards.

“I don’t want to see your bodies on Instagram. I want to see what’s in here,” she said putting her hand to her heart. “I’m not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore.”

Coincidence? Hmm ...
