For many, 2016 has been a shockingly bad year.
The deaths of music and acting legends including David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Prince, Alan Rickman and Gene Wilder was devastating enough. Theyβve been further compounded by the civil war in Syria, global terrorism, the rise of the far-right and hate crimes, Britainβs Brexit vote to leave the European Union and Donald Trumpβs surprise presidential election victory.
With those events in mind, Twitter users have been suggesting #howcan2016redeemitself in its four remaining weeks.
