The Most Epically Hilarious Gingerbread House Fails

Sometimes, no amount of frosting can keep the walls up.

We’re grateful for the holiday tradition of building gingerbread houses. Seeing the handy work of so many bakers delights us and gets us that much more excited for Christmas. But as beautiful as they might be to behold, gingerbread houses certainly aren’t always sugar and spice to build. No, sometimes this holiday activity can be downright infuriating. Heck, even master craftsmen Ron Swanson has broken when facing off with gingerbread.

These houses are a feat of sugar and magic. (Have you seen the ones produced by the White House?) With nothing more than a piping bag of frosting, cookie walls and roofs are hoisted into upright positions and topped with more than their weight in candy. It’s no wonder they can be so tricky to build and keep standing.
