Police in Tennessee are looking for a man who’s accused of violently attacking a mother in a Kroger supermarket who held up the line with her coupons.

Megan Wilson was running errands in a Memphis store around 11 p.m. Friday when she says the man’s insults and cries for her to hurry up eventually turned physical.

“I could understand if I was being mean to him, being aggressive or something, but I wasn’t,” Wilson said in a tearful Facebook video about the incident.

Speaking to WREG News, Wilson admitted that she took about 20 minutes to get through the line with her binder full of carefully organized coupons.

As for what prompted the man to lunge at her, she said that she accidentally spilled her drink on him while leaving.

“I said, ‘My bad,’ I turned and I walked away,” she said in her video.

Surveillance video released by Memphis police, however, appears to show her flinging the drink on the man as he stands by her side in the line.

What happened next is not entirely clear, as most of the skirmish occurred off camera. In what can be seen, the man appears to reach out toward her and then take a step back as if to shield himself. He then takes a step in her direction again.

Wilson said the man beat her up.

“He grabbed me by the back of my hair, hit me in my face, bashed my head into my basket, threw the basket over,” she said in her Facebook video. She later shared a photo of her toppled shopping cart and groceries on the floor.

The man managed to flee the store in what’s believed to be a blue Ford F-150. He’s now wanted for questioning, police said in a statement.

Police officers reported that Wilson was found with a small scratch on her forehead and declined medical treatment.

Kroger said it is working with police and is “saddened” by what happened.

“We are all saddened by the unfortunate incident that occurred at our Poplar Plaza Kroger over the weekend. We want to thank Central Defense Security for reacting quickly and calling the police. Kroger Delta will continue working with the Memphis Police Department to help resolve this situation between two customers,” the company said in a statement.
