Given a lingering injury, Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski will be sitting out the upcoming Super Bowl LI game between his team, the New England Patriots, and the Atlanta Falcons, but he’ll still be making a notable appearance alongside actor Jeffrey Tambor in a commercial for Tide.

Tambor is currently most known for his comedic work in shows such as “Arrested Development” and “Transparent.” Gronk is currently most known for his comedic work in bragging about athletic accomplishments that can be turned into “that’s what she said”-esque punchlines.

The unlikely duo apparently hit it off though, as Tambor told The Huffington Post, with the longtime actor being charmed by Gronk’s joyful persona. “He’s just free and easy,” said Tambor. “He has a lot of charisma. A lot of talent.”

Tambor further explained, “When he got to the set, I didn’t know what to expect. I was a little thrown because he was so nice. He’s so young. He’s very big. He’s very good at what he does and it was a total pleasant time. We got along immediately ... He charms everybody.”

In the Super Bowl campaign, Gronkowski runs his own dry cleaning service and Tambor plays a customer. Instead of actually doing any cleaning, Gronk rips the sleeves off of Tambor’s shirts to get rid of stains.

“A thing that I know about athletes is that they are, for the most part — I don’t think this is true about everybody, but they’re like kids,” said Tambor. “And I think that’s one of the reasons we like sports, it brings out the kid in all of us.”
