While many Patriots fans are surely winning so much they’re getting tired of winning, plenty of people felt like the Super Bowl was election night all over again.
The Falcons were so close! Up 28-3 in the third quarter? There’s no way the Patriots will come back. It can’t happen. It won’t happen.
It DID happen.
And then, to cope with more losing, people took to Twitter to make their best jokes comparing the Atlanta Falcons’ implosion to the shock many felt on election night.
Here are some of our favorites:
Atlanta has a 99.3% chance of winning, per ESPN. That's where we had Trump's chances in Pennsylvania at 1:10AM on Election Night

If the Patriots win it's 1000000% the Russians

Just When You Thought Nothing Could Be Worse Than Election Night... Falcons Blow The Super Bowl Lead & Lose To The Patriots pic.twitter.com/TAsSPV8QwD

I can't believe the guy with the foreign model wife and a sketchy history with the rules just won after being written off.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) February 6, 2017
Wow. Just like the November election. Complete with Falcon fans celebrating their Super Bowl victory 30 min early.

Warriors blew a 3-1 lead

Indians blew a 3-1 lead
Hillary blew an election to Trump
Falcons blew a 25 point lead
Nothing is impossible.
Hillary should've spent more time doing outreach to the Falcons' secondary.

Election night, all over again.
— Jonathan Alter (@jonathanalter) February 6, 2017
My God. It's election night all over again.

Bernie would have beat the Patriots.
— KStreetHipster (@KStreetHipster) February 6, 2017
This is looking like Hillary all over again.

I'm so tired of Evil winning all the time these days. When can we blow up the Death Star already? #notmysuperbowlchamp pic.twitter.com/RC9h9FBZNF

At least one person felt pretty good about the Patriots win.
What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots. Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B are total winners. Wow!
