Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas Gov. (R) and two-time GOP presidential candidate, is not good at Twitter. In fact, “not good” is an understatement. He is terrible at it — especially when he’s trying to be funny.
For instance, when CNN reported that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had to hold back tears due to the mean-spirited nature of President Donald Trump’s executive order that banned Syrian refugees and nationals from several Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S., Huckabee tweeted this transphobic gem:
Breaking news from Hollywood! Sen. Chuck Schumer cast in lead role for remake of "Boys Don't Cry."
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) February 5, 2017
And when Hillary Clinton said half of Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables” during the 2016 presidential campaign, Huckabee busted out this sweet rhyme:
Hillary shows contempt for people in her "basket". I think she blew a gasket. Her campaign headed for a casket.
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) September 10, 2016
And on Tuesday, while following the hearing for Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, Huckabee decided to tweet a few zingers aimed at those who were questioning the judge:
Leahy at Gorsuch hearing is more effective than Ambien in inducing sleep; He makes Hillary look like a candidate for Dancing w/ the Stars!
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) March 21, 2017
Watching Foghorn Leghorn cartoons on TV...NO WAIT-it's just Senators at Gorsuch hearing making Foghorn look smart. https://t.co/uKRtYVMhjs
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) March 21, 2017
Then he tweeted this:
Breaking News! Jimmy Dean Sausage Co will be renamed GORSUCH SAUSAGE because he's grinding up some Democrat Senators into PURE PORK SAUSAGE!
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) March 21, 2017
And. Twitter. Could. Not. Take. It. Anymore.
People began to roast Huckabee for being hilariously unfunny, and their responses are actually funny:

Mike Huckabee has the sense of humor of someone who was trapped underwater for two minutes and then forced to tell jokes at gunpoint.
— Kashana (@kashanacauley) March 21, 2017
Couple questions:
— Ken Tremendous (@KenTremendous) March 21, 2017
1. What?
2. Do you mean "pork" legislatively? If so:
3. What?
4. Why drag Jimmy Dean into this?
5. Are you okay, overall? https://t.co/Vp1IOMkEvB
Mike Huckabee shouldn't quit his day job, which is ... what, exactly? Being an unfunny hypocritical sanctimonious faux-religious shithead?

girl, are you a Mike Huckabee joke, because you're incomprehensible and covered in flop sweat and everybody hates you
— Tom McAllister (@t_mcallister) March 21, 2017
Mike Huckabee should be forced to perform a drop-in set at any comedy club in America and bomb live as badly as his Twitter jokes deserve.
— Josh Gondelman (@joshgondelman) March 21, 2017
Mike Huckabee went from having Presidential aspirations to being a guy who trends whenever he does a shitty dad joke on Twitter
— Juggalocialism (@UweBollocks) March 21, 2017
Is it really any surprise that notorious homophobe Mike Huckabee is obsessed with sausage?
— Laura (@SheWhoVotes) March 21, 2017
Only Huckabee could pull off the fabled Triple Sausage Self-Piss. https://t.co/UhRaNAttlI
— rob delaney (@robdelaney) March 21, 2017
I imagine when he isn't tweeting Mike Huckabee drinks theater butter from a chalice and posts glowing reviews of Paul Blart movies.
— TBG (@ThatBoysGood) March 21, 2017
I think he's getting the hang of it. pic.twitter.com/hAZnvY4Md1

$50 says Mike Huckabee has a box of rejected spec scripts that he wrote for Blossom and Wings in the 90's. https://t.co/aKn7qEWyLs
