Trevor Noah Tears Into Fox News Over James Comey's Bombshell Memo

Fox News is basically Donald Trump's Snapchat filter, the comedian says.

Trevor Noah has spent the past few weeks eviscerating Donald Trump and the scandals that seem to plague his presidency.

On Wednesday, “The Daily Show” host turned his attention to Fox News and its coverage ― or lack thereof ― of bombshell reports that former FBI Director James Comey wrote a memo detailing a meeting in which Trump allegedly asked him to drop the federal investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

This is by far the biggest Trump scandal, until the next one,” Noah said. “To not acknowledge the gravity of this Comey memo, you’d have to be willfully ignorant. Aggressively ignorant. In fact, you’d have to be Fox News.”

Noah outlined several tactics that he said the conservative news channel employs to avoid giving Trump bad press, even amid undeniable scandal: 1. They’ll flat-out deny it; 2. They’ll blame it on former President Barack Obama; 3. Jesse Watters will say that the news item doesn’t have enough sex or money, thus rendering it a “boring scandal,” as the Fox News personality called Comey’s memo during an interview Tuesday night.

“Last night I realized why Donald Trump loves Fox News so much: They’re basically his Snapchat filter,” Noah said. “Because whatever the reality is, they’ll always make him look better than he is. And just like a Snap, we’re all hoping he disappears soon.”
