Ladies and gentleman...Norm Coleman's insistence on being a sore loser has now raised over $140,000 to help progressives defeat Republicans in 2010.
Thanks so much to the many Huffington Post readers who read about and participated in the PCCC and Democracy for America's "Dollar a Day to Make Norm Go Away" campaign ever since Sam Stein reported it on the day it launched.
If this were a boxing match, it appears Norm Coleman is on the ropes:
Roll Call reports that we may now be entering a truly crucial phase in the seemingly never-ending saga of the 2008 Minnesota Senate election -- indeed, it might actually be ending fairly soon, if Norm Coleman doesn't have the heart to keep going.
The MN Supreme Court will rule within a week or two.
This is the moment of truth. Either we lay the pressure on thick now and get Coleman to concede when the ruling comes, or he appeals again -- keeping Al Franken out of the Senate for potentially months more.
It's time for a knock out punch.
Can you help us reach $150,000 by Monday?
On Monday, we'll be taking our message directly to Coleman's DC funders!
Back in Round 6 of the fight, when we were only at $86,000, local Minnesotans made sure Norm Coleman directly got the message that he was hurting Republicans every day he stayed in the race.
To the right is the video of Coleman receiving a big check written out from him to progressives.
Our campaign's generated a ton of national news (NY Times, Politico, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, Huffington Post, etc.) which Coleman's DC funders would have to try hard to miss.
But on Monday, we'll making sure they hear directly just how much they'll be shooting themselves in the foot if they encourage Coleman to keep going.
$150,000 is a nice round number that they'll have to take notice of...can you help us make it there? Help throw the knock-out punch...

Go Nammie!
Just keep draining the Republican coffers.
Soon to be heard:
"Welcome to Washington, DC, Senator Franken."
Did he do it on the Ethernet? LOL.
After the rebuke delivered to Coleman's lawyer during the Oral Argument time before the Minn Supreme Court, those who have been whipping Norm to keep advancing his case further-along the appeals process started jumping-off the Band Wagon and wrapping-up sending money toward resuscitating the dead horse hitched to the rickety carriage.
Coming very soon will be the decision of the Minnesota Supreme Court who will likely comment and add their opinion to the unanimous decisions against against Coleman of the Lower Court and Canvassing Board. The Supreme Court's Justice's who heard Coleman's case are all likely to write their own opinion of this appeal and comment about the merits or lack thereof.
Those who have followed the case in its entirety, from Election Night to the morning of June 1st,, when the Supreme Court session heard each sides appeal, know that it is not likely that any of the Justice's are going to have anything kind to say about this case being brought the distance it did to wind-up before them.
It might be a very good idea for Norm Coleman to concede the election to Al Franken and render the case before the Minnesota Supreme Court moot. Rather than have the Court make the decision for him and let everyone know exactly how they feel about it and why!
Great news! I donated on the 2nd day... it was about $28K then. Glad to see that the fund is now so high. Make 'em pay. I'm donating again today. Urge others who can afford it to do the same.
Thanks, Chiclets!
The great part is he's raised at least $3 million for Republicans! Enjoy the $140,000.
Of which the spent $750,00 on basically an ad campaign helping to prove Republicans are sore losers and out of touch with even their own self-interests. Nice work! Meanwhile, we got $140,000 in the bank, real grassroots style, and you're out a chunk of change for a bad idea. Keep it up, please!
In play money
Been donating $2 a day and don't even notice it. When this campaign ends, I hope to switch over to another cause. Keep it up, folks! Let's let this be our new vehicle. And Stop Calling Me!!!!!!! I gave at the website! >:)

The only way Norm is going to go away is if the Republics stop funding him.
