Everyone thinks they can grill -- but can you barbecue? For some it's a right of passage, for others it means going out to the best BBQ spot in town and just giving up on doing it at home.

But if you're looking to get started barbecuing on your own, we have advice straight from the best in the business. We caught up with Pitmasters at the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party -including Jean-Paul Bourgeois of Blue Smoke, Rodney Scott of Scott's Bar-B-Que, Scott Roberts of The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que and Mike Mills of 17th St Bar & Grill -- to get their advice on everything from cooking temperature to what rub combination is best to which meat cuts to buy.
