The winter can feel like a drag for anyone who likes light and bright cocktails. There's only so much bourbon and whiskey that can be drunk by the fireside (well... maybe endless amounts, but you still need an alternative every once and awhile).
This cocktail, The Blackberry Punch, might seem like you need summer but the ingredients can actually work any time of year. It's a take on the French 75 and all you need is the chambord, some vodka, a bit of lemon and an added dose of simple syrup.

The Blackberry Punch
2 parts vodka
1 part fresh lemon juice
2 parts simple syrup
3/4 part chambered
Dash of dry champagne
Mix the first four ingredients together and then give them all a quick shake. Pour over crushed ice and then top with the champagne. Add a blackberry on top and serve.
