After cocktails in the park, we drove back in the dark.
I took one flash photo of Tom up in front, shining his flashlight from side to side. Where the flashlight was not shining it was pitch black. Tom quietly indicated we should stop, that he had spotted something. It was a chameleon on a leaf beside the road. 
Sam said, "that little fellow spent millions of years developing camouflage and Tom saw through it in one second."
