Dita von Teese is the undisputed Queen of Burlesque, performing her old-fashioned strip tease shows all around the world. Previously married to rocker Marilyn Manson, Dita is instantly recognizable for her classic pin-up girl look: jet-black dyed and curled hair, seamed stockings, overdrawn lips. Dita is the ultimate vintage dresser and I'm jealous of all her Louboutins. I just wish she wouldn't speak. She has this high, weak voice that actually takes away from her look and her mystique. Dita if you're reading this, go to a voice coach and get some resonance going. It will only add to your amazing package.
Such a beautiful woman! She is seriously my fashion role model...I grew up the same way, watching old 1930's movies and idolizing the glamorous actresses of that era. She is a great role model for any woman who doesn't feel they need to a phony blond and phony tan to be beautiful.
Sorta reminiscent of the legendary beauty Hedy Lamar, who was, some say, possibly the most gorgeous woman to have ever walked the earth.
I love Dita von Teese - even in her interviews she gives only a little and keeps you wanting more... perfect.
Women don't know the art of burlesque. They think if they take their clothes off and spread their legs, they know what it is to strip. All they're doing is taking their clothes off. They don't know know how to tease.
Some of us do ;)
Nice interview, very relevant.
