If You think I am holding on
Then you could think I'd let go
And free fall right into my heart.

It's crazy, baby, that I never
Called you, Baby, Baby.
Gliding, without trying or crying.

If you think I am holding on
Off a ledge that you called me from
Then you'd think I would turn around

To See what I didn't, with a hint
Of your vodka, my wine as we'd dine
On endless fairy tales, we'd deny.

If you think I am holding on
Then you could think I'd release
The flowing waters from my eyes

That fell out of line in sync
With those cubes of clarity in your drink
And my cabernet glass of dreams.

If you think I am holding on
Then my heart could be dethroned
And I'd ride off on a white horse

To the castle we built on sand,
Forgotten selves beneath the land,
Wells filled with tomorrow's todays.

If you think I am holding on
To the Earth's center, the core of all
Then I'd root, rise and never fall.

I have etched myself deep to earth
Fallen from the clear window pane
Eyes freed from the veil of seeing.

If you think I am still holding on
To words that take flight tonight-
Then, baby, you'd know, I am home.

Back home-I see the change in me-
That sits free and clear with honesty
None the same as a sober me.

If you think I am holding on
Then you could think I'd let go
And free fall right into my heart.

(...Yet I keep my hands to myself. )
