You Reap What You Sow: Sequestration

I urge people to pay close attention to our elected officials, those who are working toward a solution on sequestration and those whom are "doing nothing" or are obstructionists. Let us all make a note of it and vote them out of office as soon as possible.

Our country is in the midst of sequestration and I can't help but think, "We voted these people into office and somehow it's our fault." You reap what you sow, or so the Bible says in Galatians 6:7

While President Obama dines with Republicans, discussing partisan support, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities reports that women and children, numbered between 575,000 and 750,000, may be turned away from receiving WIC, the federal program that helps low income women, infants and children who are at risk of malnutrition.

In the past, WIC has received bipartisan support and almost everyone agrees it is a necessary federal program; I can't help but think the behavior of our president and Congress is appalling under these circumstances.

So I am urging people to pay close attention to our elected officials, those of whom are working toward a solution on sequestration and those whom are "doing nothing" or are obstructionists. Let us all make a note of it and vote them out of office as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, I urge you to contact your members of Congress by calling 1-866-338-1015 and tell them to repeal the sequester provision of the Budget Control Act of 2011. Congress created the sequester and they can repeal it, they must.
