Maine's Gov. LePage and his allies seem to be obsessed with anal rape analogies.
For those who don't know LePage made a comment a month or so ago about a Democratic legislator that got most sane people upset.. This is how HuffPo reported it.
""Sen. Jackson claims to be for the people, but he's the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline," LePage said, according to WMTW. "He is bad. He has no brains, and he has a black heart.""
At least one of LePage's stooge organizations couldn't see the problem with the comment and "doubled down"
"Whether Jackson uses Vaseline isn't the point. He has given taxpayers the shaft again & again. Either way, they're sore. #MEpolitics-- Steve Robinson (@Stevie_Rob) June 20, 2013"
Now it seems that Mike Heath gay-basher extraordinaire, who was part of the epic failure that was the anti-gay marriage campaign in 2012, has poured some gas on the fire with a press conference in defense of LePage's remarks. Dirigo Blue has extensive coverage of the latest development.
"On Heath's website, he shared a clip of Governor LePage to provide context and added his own comment of "Governor LePage doesn't want to be Sodomized by Liberals"."
Oh and it gets better he also said.
"The most refreshing aspect of this incident is the Governor using sodomy in it's proper context. It is a negative. It is ugly. It is force. And it is violent."
What is it with certain Republicans and their allies with rape analogies? When will they realize they are political turnoff to women and anyone sane?
